Extra Attack Couldn't Keep Rangers in the Game

Riley Damiani struck twice but it wasn't enough as the Kitchener Rangers lost 5-4 to the North Bay Battalion.

Logan Stanley and Jonathan Yantsis also scored for the Rangers.

Justin Brazeau led the Battalion with a pair of goals including the game winner with just 54 seconds left in the game.  The Rangers pulled Chris McGonigle from net to use the extra attacker but couldn't score the equalizer before time expired. McGonigle stopped 18 shots for the Rangers.

Julian Sime made 34 saves for the Battalion.

The loss holds Kitchener at 32  points and in the lead of the Midwestern Division. The Rangers are four points up on the Owen Sound Attack who play the London Knights tonight. Puck drops at Budweiser Gardens at 7:30 p.m.
