A Huron County man is in custody after a dramatic arrest in Stratford. Stratford police were notified about 7:40 yesterday morning that a stolen pick up truck from the Seaforth area was heading into Stratford. Officers spotted the vehicle and followed it to Front and Ontario Streets. Officers placed cruisers at the front and back of the truck to stop it. The motorist drove into the police cruisers and attempted to flee repeatedly until one officer broke the driver's side window and removed the suspect from the vehicle. After a struggle, the man was cuffed and taken into custody. There were no injuries. A 26-year-old Huron county Man is charged with drug offences, possession of stolen property, assault with a weapon, Possession of a dangerous weapon, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, driving while suspended and breach of probation.
