Brockton Council Contributes More For Santa Claus Parade

The Walkerton Kinsmen have secured an additional $500 to cover their costs for hosting Brockton's Santa Claus Parade.

Kinsmen member Wayne Holman approached Brockton Council for the extra money, saying the parade budget has gone over the last few years.

Holman says expenditures like bands, advertising and candy for the kids can add up quickly, and the Kinsmen were losing money.

Brockton council approved the additional $500 grant, bumping their contribution to an even $3,000.

This year's Santa Claus Parade in Walkerton is Saturday, November 25, starting at 7pm.
