Clinton Lions Club Donates Toward Skate Park

The Clinton Lions Club presented Central Huron's Community Improvement Co-ordinator with a cheque for $6,000 for the Clinton Skate Park this week.

Angela Smith says there's still a lot of fund-raising to be done but they're hoping to have the skate park running for next summer. The cheque presentation was made by Lions Club President Charles Bodle and Secretary Clayton Groves. On hand for the presentation were Steve and Karen Ott as well as their son Sam, who have been instrumental in getting a new skateboard park in Clinton.

“This will be towards park improvements and skateboard park is next on the list. We need lots more fund-raising and we don't have a time yet, but we hope that it's next year.”
