Time Running Out To Apply To Huron County Heritage Fun

Time is running out for funding applications under Huron County's Heritage Fund.

Huron County Museum's Senior Curator, Elizabeth French-Gibson explains grants of up to $5,000 are available for a wide range of projects.

That includes built heritage structures to publications or special events, generally anything that has a heritage connection with Huron County can be submitted for review. French-Gibson points out the grants are matching funds grants so successful applicants would complete the project and submit receipts showing they've spent the money and would then be reimbursed from the heritage fund.

French-Gibson says they have two intakes every year; one in May and one in November. The deadline for last May's intake is November 1.
