Hanover Police Service attempted to stop a suspect late Friday night believed to be Kyle Moore.
The 33-year old is wanted in connection with an investigation into the assault of a Wingham police officer, a stolen cruiser and another stolen vehicle.
In multiple tweets by Hanover Police Chief Chris Knoll, officers tried to stop a suspect in the area of 8th St and 12th Ave in Hanover late Friday. The suspect fled on foot.
The OPP Canine Unit and West Grey Police was called in to help with the search.
The suspect was said to be wearing a 3/4 length camouflage coat and red cap and carrying a red gas can. The gas can was recovered.
