OPP Search For Occupants Of Car Found In Ripley Lagoon

South Bruce OPP called in the Canine Unit, Aviation Services and the Emergency Response Team to search for a car that had been reported stolen.

The OPP say they were conducting a RIDE Check yesterday about 1:58am Monday when officers spotted a Grey Toyota Corolla drive by, east on Park St.

The vehicle was found in a lagoon beyond the east end of Park St. in Ripley. The divers assisted with the recovery of the car.

The search for the occupants of the vehicle continues.

Suspicious vehicles and suspicious people should be reported to police as soon as possible so that an officer can investigate.
