Ontario Energy Board To Hear From Centre Wellington Customers

The Ontario Energy Board is bringing its rate review process to Centre Wellington this week.

The province's energy regulator has received an application from Centre Wellington Hydro to increase its electricity distribution rates by $2.55 per month. This may impact customer bills for the next five years, starting January 1, 2018.

As part of its review, the Energy Board is holding a community meeting to help consumers learn about the rate application and comment on it.

The meeting is scheduled for this Thursday from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex in Fergus.

Consumers are invited to make a five-minute presentation at the meeting by first contacting the OEB at registrar@oeb.ca or by calling 416-440-7605 or 1-877-632-2727 (toll-free within Ontario) and quoting file number EB-2017-0032.

To get involved in the OEB's rate review processes, please visit: oeb.ca/participate.

The Ontario Energy Board is an independent and impartial public agency.
