Police are investigating after a 12-year-old girl was inappropriately questioned by a man in Meaford.
The Ontario Provincial Police say on Sunday around 8:35pm, officers responded to Collingwood St. where the girl had been approached by an unknown man in small, four-door vehicle. The man reportedly asked the girl questions that were "personal and sexual in nature," police say.
The girl ran home and reported what had happened.
The man in the vehicle is described as being Caucasian, in his 50s, heavy set, with brown and grey short hair that laid flat on his head, some grey facial hair on his chin, dark eyebrows and yellowed crooked teeth. The man also has one eye that appeared to be lower than the other.
The vehicle he was driving is described as grey or silver in colour, with a darker interior.
Police would like to speak to the man and are asking anyone with information to contact Grey County OPP at 1-888-310-1122, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
