Bruce Power Workers Help Hurricane Victims

Bruce Power collected $9,300 in a site-wide fundraiser for the Canadian Red Cross' Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.

Human Resources Executive Vice President Cathy Sprague says employees saw the immeasurable human and property loss created by devastating flooding and stepped up to help others who are suffering.

She says many workers suggested the fundraiser.

“Our employees have stepped up to the plate to help others suffering through the devastation experienced in the Houston area,” said Sprague. “The generosity of our employees is truly humbling, as they constantly step up for those in need."

The community can donate to the Red Cross’ Hurricane Harvey relief efforts through the Bruce Power portal at www.redcross.ca/HurricaneHarvey/BrucePower.
