Bruce Power And Partners Raise Thousands For Hospital Foundations

Hospital Foundations in Kincardine and Southampton will benefit greatly from a golf tournament.

Bruce Power, its suppliers, community partners, and local businesses raised $165,000 in their annual charity tournament.

The proceeds will be split between the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation and the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation.

The fundraiser, which has raised almost $2-million for local health care initiatives over the past 16 years, was held at the Saugeen Golf Club last Friday.

The foundations plan to purchase life-saving equipment for the Kincardine and Southampton hospitals.

"The Kincardine and Saugeen foundations allow our hospitals to stay at the forefront of rural health care, and Bruce Power and our partners are proud of the role we play in their successes," says James Scongack, vice president, corporate affairs and environment. "We are fortunate to live in communities where volunteers make such a lasting impact on our quality of life through their commitment to our hospitals."
