The Owen Sound North Stars suffered a narrow 11-10 defeat against the Six Nation Rivermen in Game 2 of the Senior B Lacrosse Championship Final series on Saturday night.
Colin Mawdsley put the North Stars to within a point with just under two minutes left to play but Owen Sound couldn't score the equalizer and now trail the series 2-0. The North Stars now face elimination from the best-of-five series.
Zack Thompson led the North Stars with 5 points including a goal and 4 assists. Mawdsley struck twice and set up two more for Owen Sound.
Roger Vyse led the Rivermen with 3 goals and 3 assists.
Game 3 is Friday in Oshweken.
