Bruce Power Employees Help Out BC Fire Evacuees

Bruce Power employees are digging deep to help fellow Canadians by donating $10,000. to the Red Cross for fire relief in B.C.

Vice President Corporate Affairs James Scongack says the workers are helping to ensure thousands of displaced British Columbians access necessities.

“Much like our employees did last year during the devastating wildfires in Alberta, our employees have banded together to ensure the thousands of displaced British Columbians can access the necessary supplies for their families,” says Scongack. “We encourage the community to donate through the Bruce Power portal on the Red Cross’ website at www.redcross.ca/BCFires/BrucePower.”

Donations will also help buy things like cots, blankets, and money for food clothing and shelter.

Last year, Bruce Power employees came to the aid of residents displaced by wildfires in Alberta.
