New Grey County OPP Commander On The Job

A new detachment commander has assumed command of the Grey County OPP.

Inspector Martin Murray took over on Monday from retired OPP Inspector Michael Guilfoyle.

Inspector Murray started policing in 1988 at the Forest detachment.

He most recently served at General Headquarters in Orillia as commander of the Provincial Operations Centre, where he managed assets and deployments across the province.

He also has vast experience in intelligence, professional standards, and the OPP Anti-Rackets Branch.

"I'm delighted to welcome Inspector Murray to the West Region Command team. His knowledge, skills and abilities will not only be value added to Grey County, but will have many positive benefits for West Region," says Chief Superintendent J. Cain.
