Northern Bruce Truth And Reconciliation Group Hosting Third Event

The Northern Bruce Truth and Reconciliation Group is hosting it's third event in its "Walk a New Path" educational series this coming Tuesday.

The event will take place July 11 at the Summer House Park campground at 7pm on Miller Lake.

Saugeen First Nation Elder Shirley John will be sharing stories around a campfire about "Nibi-Water is Life."  John recently participated in the 700 km, 14-day Water Walk around the perimeter of Saugeen Ojibway Nation traditional territory.

The event opens at 6:30pm and admission and refreshments are free. There is an indoor facility should it rain, and guests should bring their own chairs. The fourth event will take place back at the Parks Canada Visitor Centre in Tobermory, featuring a talk on treaties and land claims by researcher Glenda Clarke and lawyer John Bainbridge.
