The long-awaited construction of a new Canadian Tire Store in Mount Forest suffered a setback Monday.
Council granted the company's request for a one-year extension to August, 2018, to proceed with construction at the north end of Mount Forest.
Wellington North CAO Mike Givens said the company gave no specific reason for the delay, but it appears that scheduling of the construction is the hold up.
Mayor Andy Lennox stated that council is disappointed with the delay but pleased that the development is still going ahead.
