Huron-Perth Healthcare CEO Hopes LHIN Merger Improves Health Care Services

The CEO of the Huron-Perth Healthcare Alliance says he expects the merger of the Community Care Access Centres with the Local Health Integration Networks will result in a smoother delivery of health care services for patients as they move through the system.

Andrew Willians says the transition date for the Southwest LHIN was May 24th so they're still working on new relationships but he adds the main concern of the Alliance, as a health services provider, is that the continuum of service for the patient remain as smooth as it can be.

Williams also points out the former CCAC staff will remain but will now be employees of the LHIN so he expects the same services they've had access to in the past.
