Suspects Arrested After Theft From Hanover Walmart

Two Londoners have been arrested in connection with theft of electronics from the Walmart store in Hanover.

A Hanover Police Service says two men entered the store on May 27 shortly after 7am in the morning, and forced open a display case.  They removed over $13,000 worth of electronics and left the store.

Shortly after 7am Sunday morning, an employee of the Owen Sound Walmart recognized the suspects who were inside that store and called police.   Members of the Owen Sound Police Service took the suspects into custody without incident.

Brandon Simmers, 31, of London is charged with theft over $5,000, mischief under $5,000, and breach of recognizance.

Michael Resendes, 27, of London is charged with theft over $5,000.

Police say further charges are pending from other jurisdictions in Ontario.
