Minto wants to talk about school closures with its local representative on the Upper Grand District School Board, Bruce Schieck.
Council heard there are no Minto schools up for closure, but council is extending its support to other municipalities fighting closures.
Minto Deputy Mayor Ron Faulkner says he supports a provincial moratorium on school closures, adding that once a decision is made to close a school, it is awfully hard to fight it.
