The Owen Sound Fire and Emergency Services responded to the home Wednesday morning after an electrical failure in a light fixture.
Nursing staff were able to quickly move the residents away from the small fire, and the alarm was activated.
The fire was contained, and smoke remained inside the building.
The Owen Sound Fire Service commends the staff at the facility for following the fire safety plan.
