A leader in Catholic education in Huron and Perth counties has passed away.
The Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board has announced the loss of Larry Langan of Bayfield. He was 66.
Langan was the director of education for the School Board from 2003 to 2008.
A statement from the bard said his leadership was a gracious model of commitment to Catholic education and high standards for student achievement.
Langan was involved in leading innovation for the Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board, the English Catholic Council of Directors of Education, King's University College, Althouse College, Western University, the United Way, South Huron Community Living and numerous other community agencies in Huron and Perth counties.
The funeral mass will be held at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, St. Joseph on Saturday, April 1 at 10am.
