West Grey council has selected a new councillor.
Council met Monday and selected Rebecca Hergert to sit on council for the next 19 months.
Council had 21 candidates to choose from to replace former councillor Don Marshall, who recently resigned.
It took five rounds of balloting before Hergert was chosen.
Hergert is a law clerk from Normanby Township and a mother of three.
Deputy Mayor John Bell says Hergert has shown a keen interest in council, and has attended most meetings over the last six months or so.
