Goderich Crash Under Investigation

A 78-year-old man is recovering after a single-vehicle rollover in Goderich.

The crash happened Sunday night just after 5pm on Victoria St. N just north of Nelson St.

Police say a Dodge Caravan was travelling south when, for unknown reasons, it crossed over into the northbound lane and left the roadway. The van then collided with a large tree, rolled and came to rest on its passenger side.

The engine caught on fire, however, it was quickly put out by a witness that came to the aid of the injured driver.

The driver, and only person in the Caravan at the time, is recovering from non-life threatening injuries.
