Icy Roads Across Midwestern Ontario

Many local drivers are going to encounter slippery road conditions Monday morning.

Sunday's snowfall and strong wind left roadways quite icy and slushy. Secondary roads are track-bare with frozen sections.  Sanders and plows are out.

Visibility is good to fair, with some minor drifting in open areas because of a gusty northwest wind.

There is a snow squall watch in effect for Huron, Perth, Bruce, Grey and northern Wellington counties.

Blowing snow will reduce visibility at times in narrow bands of snow off the lake. Accumulations of 5-10 cm of snow are possible through the day and into Monday night in some areas.
