Attack Beat Spitfires in OT

Petrus Palmu scored the game winner 36 seconds into overtime as the Owen Sound Attack edged the Windsor Spitfires 3-2.

Matt Schmalz opened the scoring just over five minutes into the first to put the Attack up 1-0 heading into the second.

Mike Baird answered for Windsor midway through the second to tie the game heading into the third.

Zachary Roberts gave the Attack the lead with a goal just 1:36 into the final frame. Aaron Luchuk tied the game with just over six minutes left.

Michael McNiven earned the win in net for the Attack, stopping 21 shots in a duel of top ranked goalies. Michael DiPietro made 31 saves for Windsor.
