Cole Scores Twice in Dutchmen Victory

Connor Cole scored twice, both goals short handed, to lift the Kitchener Dutchmen over Waterloo 5-2.

Kitchener was trailing 2-1 after the first when Cole scored his first goal midway through the second. Logan Schmidt put the Dutchmen ahead, assisted by Cole and Adam Kawalec with 30 seconds left in the period.

Kawalec scored on the power play at 2:28 of the third, assisted by Cole and Brandon Grandinetti. Cole's second goal came late in the period into an empty Siskins net.

Both teams had 28 shots on goal. Luke Richardson earned the win in net for the Dutchmen.

The win puts the Dutchmen in fifth place, one point ahead of the Stratford Warriors.
