Hawks Hold On to Beat Bulldogs

Mitchell took an early lead and held on to beat Kincardine 3-1.

Nick Jung scored at 12:29 of the first period and Tyler Pauli put the Hawks up 2-0 with a goal just over two minutes into the second. Garret James put the Hawks up 3-0 at 16:26 of the second.

Brett Burrows scored unassisted midway through the third to try a spark a Bulldogs rally but that was all the offense Kincardine would generate.

Graeme Lauersen earned the win with 16 saves. Malcom Young stopped 36 shots for the Bulldogs.
