Bruce Peninsula Man Found Unconscious In Bush

A Bruce Peninsula man remains in serious condition in hospital in London, three days after being assaulted near Cape Croker.

Late Saturday, a Cape Croker police officer was patrolling Lakeshore Boulevard in the First Nation Territory when he spotted a man running into the bush.

As he investigated further, he found a second man, who had been assaulted and was unconscious. The injured man was treated in a local hospital, and then transferred to hospital in London with life threatening injuries.

An extensive search of the area by the Cape Croker Police Service, the Bruce Peninsula OPP Crime Unit, an OPP Emergency Response Team and a Canine Unit failed to find the attacker.
