Hawks Defeat Flyers in Lopsided Affair

The Mitchell Hawks scored a lopsided victory over the Goderich Flyers, winning yesterday's contest in the PJHL's Pollock Divison 13-3.

Blake Pickering and Quinten Haddock each picked up five points scoring once and assisting on four more. Derek Elliot had two goals and two assists and Drew Gross had a goal and three assists.

The Hawks were up 3-0 after the first period and had a 5-0 lead before Goderich's Riley Conners found the back of the net just under four minutes into the second. Brody Tenpas also scored in the second for Goderich.|

Mitchell led 7-2 heading into the third where they scored six times before the Flyers netted their final goal.

The Hawks out shot the Flyers 42-28. Graeme Lauersen earned the win for Mitchell.
