A.B.C.A. Seeks Public Input On Shoreline Management Plan

The consultant's report on the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority's update to their Shoreline Management Plan has been posted on their web site.

But Water and Planning Supervisor Geoff Cade says there already seem to be some misunderstanding regarding the report.

Cade points out the consultant's report is the first step in the process, not the final product. He explains the report remains on the web site for 90 days, during which time the public is invited to comment. After that, the report and the comments will be passed on to the steering committee.

The steering committee will take the consultant's recommendations and likely make their own recommendations to reflect local conditions and concerns and then pass their recommendations on to the board.

Cade adds there will be further public meetings early next summer, before the board votes on the final recommendations.
