Attack Acquire Schmalz From Wolves

The Owen Sound Attack announced today they acquired forward Matt Schmalz from the Sudbury Wolves in exchange for Liam Dunda. The trade also includes a conditional 4th round pick in 2017 to Sudbury and third round pick in 2018 to Owen Sound

Schmalz hails from Dunnville and has played three season with the Wolves, most recently serving as assistant captain.

The 20-year-old has played in 246 career OHL games and scored 67 goals and 48 assists.

Attack General Manager, Dale DeGray is quoted in a release as saying, "Matt is a powerful two-way forward who has the ability to score 30 goals in this league. We feel he will be a tremendous asset to our organization both on and off the ice."
