A "do not use" water advisory remains in effect for Lake Rosalind and Marl Lake despite privates lab test results apparently clearing the lakes as safe.
The Grey Bruce Health Unit says residents should not use the lake water for swimming, drinking, cooking or bathing due to the presence of blue-green algae.
The health unit says domestic water treatment or boiling will not protect people from the algae toxins.
Pets should not enter the lake, and fish caught in the lake should not be consumed.
Public health is not endorsing the private lab test results paid for by the Lake Rosalind Property Owners Association.
The Ministry of Environment will re-sample next week, and the following week to determine if the lake water meets the Ontario Drinking Water Quality Standard.
