Bayfield Development Held Up By Lack Of Sewer Capacity

Bluewater Mayor Tyler Hessel says uncertainty over sewer capacity is holding up residential development in the village of Bayfield.

Hessel says B M Ross is currently finalizing an EA study to establish just how much capacity they do have, and he's convinced their are pockets around the village that would allow for the construction of one or two homes on residential lots.

Hessel adds at this point they're not looking for large residential development, as much as they'd like that. But he says there are developers looking to build on one of two lots, and they'd like to be able to say they have sewer capacity to accommodate that.

Hessel says until they can confirm the availability of capacity, the county planning department is holding up that development.
