Spots Still Available for Seaforth Country Classic Pro-Am

The Tournament Administrator for the Seaforth County Classic says they still have a couple of spots open for Thursday's Pro-Am.

This is the 9th year for the County Classic and Carol Anne Doig explains the event will be a two-day, no cut competition starting on Friday. Doig says the field looks very strong with champion Dave Markle back to defend his title. Past Champion Andrew Parr will be in the field and they're hoping Derek Gillispie will be as well.

Locally, Logan Lamerant and Paul Doig will compete as amateurs and Robyn Doig will be playing her first Country Classic as a professional.

Anyone wanting to get in on Thursday's Pro-am can  call the Seaforth Golf Club at 522-0985.

Doig adds players are still trying to qualify for the Canadian Open but many of those that don't make that tournament will be calling in the next couple of days to get into the Country Classic.
