Rural Ontario Institute Award Presented To Harriston Woman

A young Harriston woman has been honoured as one of four top youth leaders in Ontario by the Rural Ontario Institute.

Megan Raftis is well-known for her community involvement, particularly in the Grey Wellington Theatre Guild.

She founded the Youth Theatre Program at the Harriston Town Hall Theatre.

Minto Mayor George Bridge says Raftis comes from generations of community workers.

Two of those generations were on hand to watch a video made about Raftis by the Rural Ontario Institute, showcasing her work with her Youth Theatre Program.
