Kincardine Council will consider spending $300,000. to re-stabilize the shoreline of Macpherson Park. BM Ross has created a conceptual plan for remediation work. The proposal includes excavating the beach area, filling the area, and placing armour stone to stabilize the area. Steps will be incorporated along the wall for pedestrian access to the beach. The plan still needs approvals from the Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Fisheries and Oceans Canada. The proposal would stop further property damage, while restoring and protecting biodiversity and shoreline habitats.
