More Snow On The Way

It may not be very welcome news, but Environment Canada says we're in for yet another April snowfall.

A special weather statement has been issued for Huron, Bruce, Grey, Perth and Wellington counties as a large Alberta Clipper makes its way toward the Great Lakes from the northwest. A freezing rain warning has also been issued for Wellington, Huron, Perth and Southern Grey counties.

The system is expected to bring large amounts of snowfall to the region, anywhere from 4-8 cm in areas, with some areas expected to get upwards of 10 cm, especially further north near Georgian Bay and the Dundalk Highlands.

That snow will change to rain later on Sunday, and could bring ice pellets or freezing rain in most areas. Motorists should be prepared for winter driving conditions.

The rain is expected to taper off on Monday.
