Meeting Scheduled On Proposed Changes To Burn Bylaw In Wellington North

Wellington North is looking for input on its burn bylaw at a public meeting next week.

Council wants to revise the bylaw which regulates open air fires, particularly in rural areas.

Some rural residents in Wellington North are worried about lighting outdoor fires, after a fine was imposed last year on a farmer who had a large brush fire.

Proposed changes to the revised bylaw include simpler wording to make it more understandable.

The public meeting is set for Wednesday, April 13 at the Kenilworth Public School at 7pm.
