McDonalds National Hiring Day Includes Goderich

McDonald's Canada is on a hiring blitz today, and the Goderich Franchise will be looking for a few good workers.

It's National Hiring day across the country, and McDonald's aims to hire a record 7,000 new employees across the country, 3,000 of them in Ontario.

Franchisee Rob Reid says Goderich is looking for 10 - 15 new employees.

He says with youth unemployment rates nearly double the national average, the hiring event offers a chance for people to gain skills and experience.

Applicants can drop by to learn about the restaurant, and possibly gain an interview for a spot on crew, restaurant management or the new hospitality positions.

He say workers can gain communication, interpersonal teamwork and problem solving skills, to add to their resume.
