Chatsworth Emergency

A state of emergency will remain in effect in Chatsworth for at least another day.

Parts of the township were flooded last week and people evacuated from their homes in Williamsford and the McCullough Lake area.

Mayor Bob Pringle says restoring power is a major safety concern and that can't be done until qualified electrical inspectors tour individual homes.

He says the Chatsworth emergency committee met today and meet again tomorrow at 4:00pm so the state of emergency remains in effect at least until then.
