List of Wind Turbine Health Concerns Presented to Bluewater Council

A group of concerned citizens opposed to wind energy in Huron County presented a list of eleven specific requests to Bluewater council last night.

Council referred the list to staff for a report, and specifically asked staff to look at the request that the municipality monitor any reports of negative health impacts Bluewater residents feel are the result of living near a wind turbine.

Mayor Tyler Hessel explains the concern of council is that it could duplicate the same process currently underway by the Huron County Health Unit.

Hessel, who is also the Chair of the Health Board, points out the Health Unit has a much broader umbrella and is much closer to the Ministry.

Almost all of the eleven requests were around the reporting and tracking of complaints related to the negative impacts of living near wind turbines.
