Holyrood Health Clinic Serves Local Mennonite Communities

A new Holyrood Health Clinic may be the first of its kind in Ontario.

Huron Kinloss has announced the clinic is geared for non OHIP users who traditionally have to travel long distances for basic health care and pay various fees that are often higher than OHIP rates.

Nurse Practitioner Rebekah Peters will see patients at the clinic Thursday mornings.

It will provide walk-in and booked appointments for episodic health care. The collaborative effort to provide accessible and affordable health care that respects the traditionalism and family way of life in communities such as mennonite populations.

Patients from St. Helens and Tiverton area area also attending the new clinic.

The facility will be funded by the community and individual patients. They hope to develop the clinic into a full service primary care site.
