Driver Airlifted To Hospital After Crash In Wellington County

A 30-year-old man has been airlifted to a London hospital after suffering serious injuries in a single-vehicle crash in Mapleton Township.

The OPP says on Sunday around 1:30am, officers were called to Wellington Rd. 12, just west of Wellington Rd. 7, after passing motorists noticed a GMC pick-up truck had rolled into a ditch.

The driver, 30-year-old Andrew Struyk of Mapleton Township, had to be extricated from the vehicle by fire and rescue crews.

His condition is unknown at this time and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
