The Durham Legion has cancelled their bingo night tonight, scheduled for 7 o'clock, because of a power outage.
Hydro One reported a malfunctioning transformer earlier this afternoon, which initially had affected over 6,000 customers. That has been brought down to just over 1,000 still without power as crews continue to work on the transformer.
Hydro One has stated on their website that power should be fully restored to all customers just after 7 tonight, but the legion has decided to cancel the bingo gathering just in case.
