Public Meeting Set About Meaford Schools' Future

Meaford area residents will get a chance to offer feedback to the Bluewater District School Board in regards to the future of local schools.

A meeting is being held at the Education Centre in Chesley January 26 to allow for public input into the Preliminary Final Staff Report for the Meaford Accommodation Review.

Senior Board staff suggested last year that the Meaford Community School close, and they seek funding for a new JK - Grade 12 school.

Staff also suggested that for next fall, Grade 4-8 students move to Georgian Bay Secondary, while the Grades JK to 3 students would attend St. Vincent-Euphrasia Elementary.

Delegates will have about ten minutes each, and those opinions will be considered in the development of a Final Staff Report.

You must submit a request to speak and a copy of your presentation by midday January 19.
