Listowel Resident Receives Prestigious Award

Danny Steves of Listowel was awarded the David C. Onley Champions award.

The award goes to a person who goes above and beyond for advocating accessibility rights in a community for disabled persons.

Steves sits on a number of committees locally that advocate accessibility rights and construction projects to help better the lives of disabled people in Listowel and North Perth.

Danny was joined by his family, and a teacher who nominated him from his school, Judie Givens of LDSS.

“Danny is such an inspiration in this community, and anyone who works with or meets him knows that,” says Mayor Julie Behrns.   Behrns went on to say “it is such an honour to award this to Danny, he works very hard for these initiatives in our community and is very deserving.”
