Shine A Light On Women's Abuse In Grey Bruce

Two Grey Bruce Organizations are hoping to shine the light on the woman abuse awareness campaign throughout November.

The Women's Centre Grey Bruce and Women's House Serving Bruce and Grey hope to raise awareness by turning both counties purple for the month.

Shelter Manager Lana Sanderson-Neeb says it's an effort to stand in solidarity with abused women.

People are encouraged to wear purple as a symbol of courage, survival, and honour, in the fight to end woman abuse.

You can show support by wearing a "wrapped in courage" scarf, available at both organizations.

It's a chance for people to show the world they care, and let women and children know they are not alone in their struggle to be free of violence.
