The Alexandra Marine and General Hospital in Goderich has a new general surgeon.
Recruitment Leader Gwen Devereaux says Doctor Tiffany Kittmer joins fellow surgeons Doctor Julie Moore and Doctor Monica Torres on the Goderich surgical team.
Doctor Kittmer says she was never a city girl so she felt immediately at home when she came to Goderich. She came to Goderich as part of her training, while getting her degree at McMaster in Hamilton.
She says she fell in love with the town and the people very quickly and decided Goderich was where she wanted to start her career.
Devereaux says next on her do to list and finding an obstetrics specialist.
She points out Goderich is now the only hospital in Huron County that delivers babies so they're in the process of expanding their obstetrical service.
