Municipality Of Meaford Truck Stolen

Grey County OPP officers are investigating after a pick-up truck belonging to the Municipality of Meaford was stolen and later recovered over the weekend.

Police say the 2015 Chevrolet Silverado bearing municipal crests and a 200-gallon water tank was reported missing on Sunday morning. The truck was found on a Pearson St. property in Meaford just before 12:30pm.

Investigators believe someone forcibly entered the municipality's work department garage sometime between 2:30pm on Saturday and 5:45am on Monday.

Police located a pair of JVC stereo speakers in the truck that do not belong to the municipality.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Grey County OPP.
