CUPE Education Workers In Legal Strike Position

The union that represents 55,000 education workers in the province is in a legal strike position.

CUPE requested a no-board report on Wednesday after its demand for conciliation failed to produce bargaining dates from the province and the Council of Trustees Association.

Education workers include educational assistants, office administrators, custodians, tradespeople, instructors, library technicians, early childhood educators, IT specialists, speech pathologists and others.
